Each certificate and its metadata are associated with a transaction ID in a decentralized blockchain. This time-stamped transaction immutably records the deposit. You can choose to store the complete file or just its digital fingerprint on the blockchain.
Ownership : Security and confidentiality of a deposit
The deposited information is only accessible to the owner of the certificate of deposit.
The metadata and the file are encrypted with one of the most secure encryption algorithms in the world: XChaCha20-Poly1305. Its use provides both data integrity and authenticity, while guaranteeing confidentiality.
A private encryption key is encapsulated in the Qrcode to decrypt the metadata and the attached file. This key allows to protect the content of the repository but also to prove the authenticity of the owner. Only the person who possesses the certificate is the owner of the deposit
Proof of integrity and authenticity
The certificate is authentic and the information it contains has not been falsified.
The information attached to a deposit is that present on the certificate. There are 2 types of information:
- Metadata: date, title, author, description.
- File: which is attached to the deposit when it is created, and which can be downloaded when the certificate is verified if you chose to store it on the blockchain.
Both the metadata and the file are archived and linked to the transaction in the blockchain.
